We’re working on something new at DataPacket. It’s called a CDN, which stands for Content Delivery Network. This helps your website load faster no matter where someone is visiting from. Instead of using just one server in one place, your site can load from different locations around the world.
We are launching the CDN with locations in North America, Europe, and Asia. It will use our own servers in North America and also use cloud servers from Amazon Web Services (AWS) to help with coverage. This gives us a strong starting point and helps visitors in many parts of the world get faster access to your website.
Over time, we will keep adding more places. Our goal is to have servers on every continent where people live. We plan to expand into South America, Australia, and Africa soon after launch.
When someone visits your site, the CDN will find the server closest to them. That server will load your site, which makes it faster. This also helps when lots of people visit your site at once because the CDN works like a built-in load balancer, spreading traffic across different servers.
We are building this CDN ourselves so it works smoothly with our hosting platform. It will become an integral part of our shared hosting platform as a free feature, giving websites faster loading speeds without needing to set anything up or pay extra.
We will keep everyone updated as we grow and improve the CDN. This is just the start.
